I take great pride in selectively harvesting local, end of life trees and repurposing them into beautiful pieces of art on the family farm where 5 generations have been milling lumber. The selective harvesting allows space for young healthy saplings to grow and flourish giving wildlife a source of food and shelter
Our Story
My name is Mike and my family is the heart of MAJS Woodworking. Craftsmanship runs deep in our veins, tracing back to the late 1930s when my great-grandfather and his brother powered their steam engine and belt-driven buzz saw. With my grandfather by their sides, they milled lumber with precision and pride. Our family also carried on the tradition with a shingle mill, building on the family’s love for working with wood. Today, as a 4th-generation woodworker and sawyer, I am proud to continue this tradition on the very same land where it all began—just feet from where those early saws buzzed to life. With my children now stepping in as the 5th generation, our family’s story of craftsmanship lives on.
